Director of Research
Dr. Nezam first went to Engineering School and received degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Electrical Engineering. He worked in Engineering for 3 years then went to Medical School and obtained his Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.). Dr. Nezam then finished his medical residency, worked and several specialties, and then worked in Clinical Research for about 12 years. He conducted more than 100 clinical trials of all different specialties and with various US and International Pharmaceutical companies. Many of Dr. Nezam’s trials resulted in curing diseases and alleviating pain and suffering for millions of people in the USA and around the world.
Dr. Joseph Yazdi is a board certified Neurological Surgeon. He has been in private practice since 2001.
Dr. Yazdi grew up in Maryland where he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland College Park. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. He initially undertook residency training in Neurological Surgery at Hahnemann University and then completed it at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ in 2001.
As a Neurosurgeon, Dr. Yazdi performs evaluation and treatment of various conditions involving the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. There include patients suffering from brain concussion and post-concussive syndrome, post-traumatic headaches, cervical and lumbar strain, disc herniation, stenosis, and spondylolisthesis. He employs the latest techniques in testing and treatment in order for patients to achieve the proper diagnosis and rapid recovery. These include:
- Injections such as trigger point, cervical and lumbar epidural steroids, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and sacroiliac joint injections
- Surgical procedures such as disc replacement, kyphoplasty, sacroplasty, and minimally invasive laminectomy, discectomy, fusion with instrumentation. The advantages of minimally invasive surgery include smaller incisions, minimized postoperative pain, shorter hospital stay, and faster recovery time
- Spinal cord stimulators and pain pumps for patients suffering from chronic pain
- Carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve release
Dr. Yazdi has been an instructor for various companies where his responsibilities included teaching minimally invasive procedures to other surgeons. He has also been involved in missionary work to Ethiopia where he and a group of spine surgeons treated patients with severe scoliosis.
He maintains membership in a number of organizations including American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.
Dr. Mark Belcher is an anesthesiologist specializing in interventional pain management. He has been in practice since 1994.
Dr. Belcher is from the Washington D.C. area. He earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University, where he played lacrosse and football. He received his medical degree from George Washington University. He did his internship in general surgery at the George Washington Hospital, and his residency training in anesthesia at Georgetown University, which included 6 month fellowships in pain management and high risk obstetric anesthesia.
As an anesthesiologist, Dr, Belcher has worked in many different hospital settings from Level 1 trauma centers to small rural hospitals where he was the only anesthesia provider. He has served as chief of anesthesia departments at two different hospitals. During his career in private practice, he has continued to provide pain management services in addition to his operating room responsibilities. While working in Alaska he was the sole practitioner running the largest pain clinic in Anchorage providing both inpatient and outpatient pain services.
Dr. Belcher has been in practice for 24 years. He is a member of the Missouri State Medical Association, Missouri Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Medical School, Dr. Padda served residencies in surgery and anesthesia. He is board certified in pain medicine, anesthesiology and age management. He also holds an MBA from St. Louis University.
He is a member the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and has completed certification programs with the International Society of Cosmetogynecology in Abdominoplasty and Liposuction under local anesthesia.
